Convert Auto-Complete Files

This utility converts Auto-Complete List cache files from NK2, DAT and XML to NK2 and XML file formats. NK2 file format is used by Outlook 2003/2007, located in a folder with Outlook data files, which is the default for conversion. Transfer of Auto-Complete Lists between different computers or from one version of Outlook to another is accomplished, using the intermediate XML/NK2 files. Beginning with Outlook 2010, Auto-Complete Lists are stored directly in Exchange mailboxes or PST data files. Therefore, to get AutoComplete cache files for newer Outlook versions, you need to save them, first, using the Export Auto-Complete Lists utility.

If the source folder with Auto-Complete files is not specified, then the utility converts all Auto-Complete files that are placed with Outlook data files, including the NK2 and DAT files. When converting including subfolders, the utility creates the same folder structure as in the original folder with AutoComplete files. If you specify to convert into both XML and NK2 files, then the utility creates two files (XML and NK2) for each Auto-Complete List.
